Inside every book

Each machine appears in several kinds of activity, so a child meets it more than once. These pages are from Inside Big Machines: Space Machines.

  1. Color

    A full-page drawing of each machine, with clear lines and room for crayons or markers.

  2. Build

    Cut along the dotted lines and glue the pieces back into a complete picture. The cutting is done with a grown-up.

  3. Reveal

    Color the grid by symbol, and a hidden machine appears square by square.

  4. Solve

    Mazes and a word search for steady pencil work and patient thinking.

Cutting activities should always be done with a grown-up, using child-safe scissors.
